Inverted moon
This is an experiment that can be done on most days of the lunar month, but the seventh and twenty-first dates of the month are the best for this experiment. In these two dates, the moon is exactly half visible. On the seventh date, look at the sky and look carefully at the moon. The moon will look like the English letter D. That is, the bright part of this half moon will be on the right side. Repeat the same experiment on the 21st day of the lunar month and now you will see the moon as the letter C oills the circle to the right and becomes half as bright as the English letter D on the seventh date. On the 14th, the moon becomes full in the shape of a circle and after that the bright part of the moon begins to decrease also from the right side. On 21st, it becomes half like letter f the English alphabet. That is, its bright part must have come to the left. This means that with the new moon or crescent of the month, when the circle of the moon begins to increase, it starts its journey from the Urdu letter د. Then gradually the bright moon fC. But unlike the seven date moon, this half moon has its belly on the left instead of the right. And then in the same direction it diminishes and disappears.
If you are in a Southern Hemisphere country like Australia or New Zealand, you will find my observation completely wrong while reading this article. You may consider me a fraud giving false information. This is because if you see the moon on the 7th and 21st night according to the method I have described, the moon will be in the exact opposite position. That is, on the 7th it will be like C and on the 21st it will be like D.
But the fact is that you are right and I am also not wrong. All those who live in the Northern Hemisphere, like me, see the moon as I have described. This is because the moon revolves around the centre of the earth or the equator. People north of the equator see it in the exact opposite way as people south of the equator see it. Thus, the people of both regions see the same reality in different ways.
Some of the differences that occur in human life are where the difference is between right & wrong and true & false. However, most of the time both parties are fine in their respective places. But they are looking at the matter from their own angle and from their own position. So sometimes the same reality looks completely different and even contradictory. Hence, there occurs a difference of opinion; often it leads even to riots, fights and bad relations.
An example of this difference is the difference of opinion among Muslim jurists. This is the case of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law’s quarrel. In this too, both parties often see things from their own positions and as a result, disagreements arise. The way to resolve such differences is to understand the other person’s point of view. If the matter is of perspective rather than right and wrong, then it should be accepted that it is possible to establish more than one opinion in this matter. If the matter is practical like mother-in-law and daughter-in-law’s relation, then the way for each party to resolve differences of opinion is to make concessions to the other. Forgive them. If this is not possible, such problems are solved on the principle of taking something and giving something, in which each party steps back a little. Any other way than this, turns disagreement into riot.
